Owen: Yes, I do. It is a great way to get rid of Myopia and I think it is safe.

Spencer: tell them that they should take a break after watch TV or computer in a period of time.

The Situation of Myopia in Taiwan

Introduction:
There are more and more people with nearsighted in Taiwan. It has been a big problem for a long time. Although we can be treated with laser to recover our eyesight, our eyeballs can’t be reconverted to initial shape, and we might get myopia again probably. According to news of Yahoo, there are almost 42 percent people with myopia of all Taiwanese, and this proportion is the largest in the world (Yahoo news, 2008). This is really a terrible amount. Most of these people with myopia always wear glasses everyday, but there are many disappointments for wearing glasses.
People can’t see clearly if they become nearsighted, unless they wear a pair of glasses. However, glasses can’t make them see as clearly as one with healthy eyes. Once people get nearsighted, large part of them will fell that their eyesight become weaker and weaker, and the weight of glasses become heavier and heavier. Becoming myopia is really an unfortunate thing.
Wearing glasses also changes the shape of the face, especially nose. A heavy thing put on the nose every day, and we can consider that nose can’t keep its original shape. Then, although the technology is progressing everyday, glasses are not very solid today. Both lens of plastic and glass can hurt us if they are broken. It is very dangerous. The worst thing is that common nearsightedness may result in several severe eye-disease, including glaucoma, cataract, and retinal detachment. All of them could make us become blind forever. To sum up, wearing glasses may hurt ourselves severely in many aspects but we can hardly get rid of them because we are just blind without glasses.
In conclusion, getting nearsighted would bring a lot of trouble to us. We must put more ads on TV and websites, or write it down on the textbook of elementary school to remind children that it is important to protect eyes carefully. It is the most important method of solving the nearsightedness problem in Taiwan. I hope that fewer and fewer people get nearsighted in the future in Taiwan.

Reflection of playing piano

I have studied to play piano since I was seven years old. As other apprentices, I began with classical music. About seven years later, I felt bored and decided to give up going to paino class. I began playing by myself. I bought a lot of piano notations with popular songs. Popular songs are easy to play and much more interesting for me. I have played songs of many hot singers, including A-Mei, FIR, Van, etc.... Most people like listening popular music. When I play it in front of my classmates, they all adore me. After I played popular songs for several years, I had ability for playing songs which were written by myself. It was really a excellent thing. I can play without notations for more than ten munites. I can really play what I want. Now, I almost forget the classical music I have played. Writing my own music is the only thing I can do now. I enjoy this freedom very much.

Summer comes

It is the end of May now. The weather in CGU became very hot suddenly. We can't adjust to this extreme change in temperature easily. I have an allergy on nose. If the temperature changes too fast, I will have a severe running nose. My nose is very sensitive and strange. I can sleep well with cold air condition but can't sleep with an electric fan. My nose can't endure the wind made by an electric fan. There are air conditioner in the dorm of CGU so far, but we will have it next semester. Although we will move to smaller and older dorm, I think that the finish of the air conditioner can let us not feel so bad. Except hot weather, continuous rainy days also make us low. We need climb a lot of steps to the classroom every morning. If it rains heavily, we would climb hardly because there is no roof. The season of plum rains is coming. I hope that it doesn't rain heavily every day, especially the days we will play softball or go out shopping!

First day of the basic competence test

Today is the first day of the basic competence test of junior high school. My younger sister is the examinee of it. I came home to company her for a special trip. I have experience of three important exam, so I can give her some tips of preparing it. She has a dream that she can be admitted to the Taipei First Girl high school. Considering her performance in school, she is in the edge of Taipei First Girl high school and CS Girl high school. All of my family hope that she can do her best in this time. We believe that she can succeed. It began from 8:00 to 17:00 today. All the examinees were tired after today's test. My sister was,too. Fortunately, after tests of four subjects, she said that she felt good. We all felt happy about it because we were worried about that her emotion might affect her. Tomorrow is the 2rd day of this test. It has tests of two subjects. Good lucky to my sister.

Night of Music

This night was night of music. It is a show with lots of music performances. There are bands, orchestra, choir, Chinese music, and harmonica show. At about 4:30, it began to rain. All of us were worried about it because it was an outdoor activity. Luckily, it stopped raining at about 5:50. The chairs were be wiped to dry and all the things were ready. After several minutes, the show was beginning. First, the pop band play three songs, including "Ultimated," "NANA," and "I love summer." They made a good atmosphere successfully. Then, it turned to a piano show. This piano player is almost the best in our school. He played two very difficult sonatas. I have learned playing paino for seven years but I still thought I can play nothing after listening he play. After this, it turned to flute. A man and a woman played soft music with flutes. It really moved the audience. Then the choir and orchestra performed one by one. At last, another pop band got ready to play. They played one of the best popular songs, "It's my life." In the big applause of audience, this excellent show was over perfectly. It was really a good show. It made me expect the next night of music in next year.

Free writing

Today is god’s birthday. We will sing birthday song for him at 23:00 on 1F of the dorm. I wish everyone who won’t go home can come to celebrate together, We buy a cake for 14 inches and every room can get one to eat. Please remember to come. god is a good basketball player ,he can play tennis very well, he also can play tabletennis very well. He is a friendly person, his girl friend is la po. She is a talkative girl.. she can talk to people whether she is know or not. Their couple life was full of excitation . they always talk to each other from 5pm to 5 a.m. Although God seems to be a shy people, but the truth is that he is not one when he is with la po. I wonder what surprise la po will give to God tonight, and I believe that everyone is looking forward to it. By the way, God is from Taichung, and it is said that he played tennis. James is a shy person, but he has the ability to stand up for others in the nick of time. However, most of the time he seems to be very stupid! That is also the reason why he is so easy to get along with. Although James is an idiot, I regard him as my friend! It is really amazing that he would couple with La po. I hope they can go through a long period of time. In the end of the paragraph, I announce again why today is so important. Remember to attend the celebration at 23:00, and then God will shed light on you.

Change the room

After two month, we will move to the older dormitory because the freshman will live here next semester. One of my room-mates will go to live with others. We must ask for another one to live with us. Not only us but also other several rooms will have a little change. There are many classmates have not decided to live where. We must make a decision in this week. I hope all things will be OK.

Introduction of CityInn Hotel

This is a very nice hotel. It is located at No.7, Huaining St., Jhongjheng District, Taipei. One month before, I went to Taipei shopping with a friend and slept there because it was too late to take a bus back to school. We enquired for several hotel but we were not satisfied with them because of the price or cleanness. Finally, we came to the door of CityInn Hotel. It has decoration of orange color, looking very fresh and tidy. After we known the price and thought it's OK, we decided to slept there. The single room had only 2 pings, but its skillful decoration made it not small. There was a TV in the room. There was no refrigerator but we can ask the waiter for infinite drinks. Customers can feel the warmth of their service. There are free washing mashine and dryer, too. It is really a great hotel. If I need to sleep out in Taipei, CityInn Hotel is my first choice.

Holiday

This was a relax holiday because there are only few things next week. I went to play softball in the morning. After I came back to my room and took a shower, my parents came. They brought me my notebook computer, which was out of order several days ago, and was repaired yesterday. They also helped me clean my room. I taught a lot with father. He taught me that I should arrange my time well because I have many things to do in university life. If I want to spend 7 hours sleeping everyday, using time effectively is essential. After nearly two hours, they said goodbye to me and went home. In the evening, I had nothing to do but play computer games with my classmates. I have not played games for many monthes. I thought that it is the only weekend I can play in this semester.It is time to study hard!

Exam Paper of Biology

Today, I got my exam paper of biology. I got 82 grade. It seems good but I am not satisfied because I think I can do better. I began to study so late that I skipped some detail of the text book. It is because that althouth I always finish almost every things quickly, I often delay the schedule of studying. It is a bad habit and I think I should kick out it as soon as possible. In the midterm exam of last semester, I only got 35, which is the lowest of the class. Teacher not only didn't give up me, but also cheered me. She said that she appreciate my attitude of getting touch with others and the smile,which is always on my face. This really animated me. I thought that I should not fall short to her expectation and I decided to change my attitude and method of studying. I had a progress in the exam of chemical analysis but my grades were only in the middle of my class. This time, I am 10th in my class, 2th in another class,but I think it is still not enough. I can be more earnest in studying. Compared with other classmates in my class, a lot of them spend much more time in studying than me. I believe that I can do it. I will be the best in my class soon!

Cheng-Ming Wong wins his 50th game!

This morning,Cheng-Ming Wong, who is one of the most powerful Taiwanese, beated Chicago White Sox and won his 50th game in MLB. When compared with all the pitchers from Asia, he wins the 50th game in the shortest period. Although all fans of him are very happy about it, he is not satisfied with his performance in this game. His strongest weapon, sinker, was not perfect in his hand today. He let players of enemy hit many times and met several crisis in some innings, but he could kept calm and used other skill like slicer to strike out the player. The coach said that this attitude is Wong's treasure. Wang's excellent performance makes not only Taiwanese but also a lot of American become his fans and support him forever. Wang is really a successive example of us. I hope that he can become better and better and be the best pitcher in MLB in the future.

Having a haircut

Today I went to barbershop to have a haircut because I thought that my hair is too long to trim. I went to Japan William, which I have had haircut several times, in afternoon. Unluckily, the barber, whose name is kiki, was on holiday. I still decided to have a haircut by other barber because I don't have much free time this week. I stood in front of the bookshelf and found out the book of hairstyles which I read before. sitting down on the chair and turning this book to page 8, I taught the barber the hairstyle I want to have. After I spent nearly 20 minutes washing my hair, I got sitting again and got ready to let my hair to be cut by the barber, who is a fat and clamorous woman. Finally, all the work was done, but I wasn't satisfied with my new hairstyle. This fat barber's skill is so bad that I was a little angry, but I was too bland to blame on her. I won't come here to have a haircut on Monday anymore!

In April 20, Kaohsiung Association of Animals found that a dog was maltreated by fire. Although it was sent to animal hospital immediately, it was dead unfortunately. It is very cruel to dog. Human being always thinks that they are the best creature in the world. Few parts of them have concept that everything on the earth is equal. I think all of us should place ourselves in other creatures’ position. If we were treated with fire, we must be very uncomfortable and angry. This logic is very easy to realize. We should respect animals’ lives basically. Even livestock, we also should treat them well unless it’s the time we kill and eat them. Not to mention dogs, which we are most conversant with. I hope that the slayers could be found as soon as possible. They should be punished severely to let everyone knows that doing such a cruel thing is immoral.

The Softball Game On April 17

Today is the last game of a series of a league match of softball in CGU, and the winner of this game will become the champion. It is a competition between CME and Med. In CGU university, Med, Ele, and CMed have been the best teams for several years. Unfortunatly, teams of Ele and CMed was lose in early games. We think that without the strongist enemies, we can win this game and become the champion easily, but the fact proved that we are wrong. In the begining, everything was normal. The grades of two teams were very close. Strangely, in the half of the game, when it turned to CME attacking, we made errors continuously. Players of CME hit again and again, and the distance of grades between us became larger and larger. After a long period of time, this inning was over finally, but the gap of grade also increased to 12! It was already 4th inning. This game would over if we couldn't decrease the gap under 9 grades. In the last chance of our attacking, we only got 2 grades. We losed, and the dream of championship was broken. We were all very sad after this game, but it can't help us progress. Only after we practice and practice we can become much better and better than us of this time. We will not lose in the future!

My name is Joe, whose birthday is June 7, 1989. I graduate from Cheng-Kuo senior high school, of which I am proud forever. In my senior high school life, I spent almost free time playing basketball or electric guitar. Even though I am short, I play basketball well because I run fast and jump high. I also have good skill of three-points shot. I love music and I can play some instruments including piano, clarinet, electric guitar, and drum. Playing in a band with good friends is an excellent thing. When playing a popular song in front of hundreds of audience, I feel my blood boiled. It is one of the best experiences in my life. In my last year in Cheng-Kuo, I stopped playing guitar and spent more time studying. Finally, I am studying medicine now in CGU. The reason why I want to become a doctor is that I want to help people in health. I am optimist, having much confidence in almost everything I do. I believe that I can give the patients happiness.
